Lucardi is the largest jewelry chain in the Netherlands. In 130 stores and an online shop, they sell watches and jewelry for every occasion and life stage. To drive further growth, two stores and a Belgian webshop were opened. Lucardi did not want to fall into the trap of fully exporting the Dutch strategy and enlisted the help of a local partner. With a "growth hacking" approach, we successfully launched Lucardi in Flanders. We chose a priority target audience, created a relevant story, and built initial brand awareness.
In strategic workshops we got to know Lucardi and their ambitions. We decided together that the Belgian market was different after all. Not only because of their position in the market, but also because of the dynamics and expectations of shoppers. The challenge: to find sufficient relevant touch points with the local target group within the established brand framework.
In a world of yolo and fomo, moments already dare to slip away from us. That is why we responded to the universal desire for anti-flight. People crave real experiences and want to immortalize them. The memory of such a moment is sometimes in the details. And jewelry can help provide those memories. Or even trigger them.
The "Elk moment telt" campaign used four, deliberately not too classic, situations. It got the right casting, its own look 'n feel and stories that worked on ephemeral social media platforms like Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram. And no, that irony is not lost on us.
Through a local OOH campaign around the stores, collaborations with influencers and a solid digital plan, we worked with a young target audience in the launch phase. We created awareness, traffic and conversion. The impact of the campaigns was positive in the short term: we saw an acceleration of 15 to 30%. But there was also sustainable market launch building, with increasing branded traffic (both direct and paid) and awareness.
